Month by Month: 7

Month 7:

My dearest little guy, I wish I could cut those nasty teeth for you.  I think life would just be perfect for you if it weren’t for those blasted teeth!   This month you cut through with 4 new ones.   Four very painful new little teeth.   You were such a trooper, but there were some hours I thought I might not make it through…

Lots of travels this month.  We took a mini vacation to the Dallas area for some car auction fun (really I would never use the word “fun” next to car auction, but it was a gift to your dad, so I tried to be cheery) and a stay at Great Wolf Lodge.  You were a trooper and you rolled with the crazy schedule and strange environment…..on most levels.   You absolutely hate the pack and play in the hotel room, so you slept with me or dad and we switched off nights with Kaelan in another bed.  You are actually a great bed partner.  You take up much less room than your pops, and you did not hog the blankets one time.

We have likened most of your screaming fits to the teeth that are popping out of your gums.   It looks frightening in that mouth of yours.   It REALLY scares mama, if you catch my drift.

You still insist on saying daddy’s name the most, and you two have established quite the bonding bedtime routine.   You are a giggling machine when it comes to your sister.   She can look at you and make you burst into laughter.

No real established crawling this month.  Still using your own crazy method of travel.   I have developed a strong concern for the hip issue I have noticed lately.   It appears that you have something going on with your hip or leg that causes you to  fall and turn when you attempt to go into crawl position.    We   plan to have the doctor look it over at the next big appointment.   He did notice a little displacement of the hip earlier, so hopefully, it will all work itself out this next month.  As you can see from the above pictures, it has NOT effected  your Michael Jackson dance moves.   That last one would cost big censorship money in a Super Bowl halftime performance.   Owww!

Year 5 at the Pumpkin Patch

The gang, minus our beloved D, headed to the Pumpkin Patch for Year 5 of fall fun.   FIVE YEARS!  Wow, it is so hard to believe time has flown like that, and our once wee little turkeys are now thriving and growing (still) turkeys.

We were down an amigo, one of the three was very sick and could not come this year (Darian).   Kaelan missed him so much, but she did her best to enjoy the adventure without him.

There is always fun to be had on the haystack…..that is, until one kid gets stuck in between them.

Well hello, you handsome little man.   This guy woke up from a little nap just in time to go climbing in the pumpkins.

I included a little bonus footage for you in this blog free of charge.   You see, it takes a few shots to get “the one”.

Heck, who am I kidding?  We don’t really ever get “the one”.  We usually just get settle for the “that will work”.

Examples:

NO….she looks like one of the Children of the Corn.  Eeeekk!
