Easy Rider

The recent invasion of motorcycles for the ROT Fest brought about a keen interest in 2 wheel travel for Kaelan. She thoroughly enjoyed counting and admiring the many cycles we passed as we dodged the thousands and thousands of bikers scattered around the Austin area.

Kaelan: Ohhh, mama. Are those skulls painted on that one?

Mom: Looks like it.

Kaelan: Ohhh, mama. That one has a cross and a rose and fish painted on it.

Mom: Wow. What a interesting combination.

Kaelan: Mama! Is that a girl painted on that one? Is she wearing any clothes?

Mom: Look away, baby. Let that one pass. Did someone say ice cream?

Kaelan didn't run off and join any biker gangs or get any piercings this week, but she did ask several times if she could have a Harley. The answer was and remains no, but we compromised with taking the training wheels off her bike. We didn't know how this would turn out, but after only a few attempts, our biker girl hit the open road and never looked back.

Yes, those are ladies painted on her ride. And yes, they are clothed. Their names are Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. She rides with a rough crew.
