My goal in having a blog was to document the little things that happen in our little world in hopes and looking back on them in the distant future with great fondness. Oh, and sometimes to rant and ramble on the little things that stir within the walls of my brain.....which may be good for medical/psychological reasons in the distant future. You know, for treatment purposes.
Miss K is such a busy bee. She keeps my schedule packed and my calender booked with her ice skating, soccer, gymnastics, and swimming lessons. Not to mention the bits of life that happen between all that nonsense.
Let's focus on soccer today. I have hopes of telling you about the other stuff in the future, but today, lets' focus on soccer. Soccer. Soccer. Soccer.
Kaelan was a proud member of The Knights, a 5 man (and girl) powerhouse team of energetic 4 and 5 year olds ready to take out anyone who tries to deny them a goal.
Reality check. The Knights were a team of 5 adorable little kiddos without a clue as to how to play soccer, but awesome at picking flowers and holding hands on the field. Sometimes goals were scored (Kaelan actually managed a few this season), but overall, The Knights were an incredible source of entertainment and laughter for the noncompetitive parents on the sidelines.
Our friends Wes and Lorri (Darian's parents) braved the title of "coach" for the season, and despite the distraction of ladybugs, anthills, pretty flowers and each other, they actually managed to teach the kids some basic soccer skills.
It was a great season. Kaelan hopes to attend camp and play again next season. We are game for the laughs.
